Why Contribute?

LWI provides women with an opportunity to generate income. This means that families will eat and children attend school. There are intangible benefits as well. Women gain confidence as they use their ideas, hard work, and dedication to support their families. They also learn new skills and are empowered by the strong relationships within their lending groups.

Small amounts of money create significant positive change in a woman’s life. Our loans typically range from $50 - $200. LWI keeps overhead costs to an absolute minimum. We operate mostly by the work of volunteers and do not keep U.S. office space. This means that each dollar you donate is maximized for the benefit of the women you support.
